Zélie is a devoted mother, an imaginative storyteller, and a lifelong dog enthusiast. The lovable Ollie in her books was inspired by her cherished golden retriever, also named Ollie, whose joyful spirit and steadfast loyalty brightened her life until his passing from illness two years ago. His memory lives on in every wagging tale she brings to life.

When she’s not homeschooling or keeping up with her energetic trio of kids, Zélie carves out moments of calm in barre classes or indulges in rewatching episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.
