About the Authors

Rahere

Rahere lives in Seattle with the love of his life and their three curious kids. Originally from Singapore, he now spends his days exploring the world of algorithms and his evenings pondering imaginative questions like, “Where do lost toys go?” and “Can robots purr?”

As a data scientist, Rahere is inspired by AI’s revolutionary potential to enhance how we live and work. Yet with every technological leap, there are both winners and losers. As a parent, Rahere feels a deep responsibility to ensure his children are equipped not just to safely navigate a world shaped by AI, but to become confident, capable participants—ready to seize the opportunities and thrive among the winners in our changing future.

Inspired by bedtime stories and real conversations with his kids, Rahere created the Ollie and Louie Mysteries series to introduce his children to the wonders—and quirks—of emerging technology. Filled with humor, heart, and delightful talking animals, these stories offer a gentle yet insightful approach to understanding and leveraging AI.

Zélie

Zélie is a devoted mother, an imaginative storyteller, and a lifelong dog enthusiast. The lovable Ollie in her books was inspired by her cherished golden retriever, also named Ollie, whose joyful spirit and steadfast loyalty brightened her life until his passing from illness two years ago. His memory lives on in every wagging tale she brings to life.

When she’s not homeschooling or keeping up with her energetic trio of kids, Zélie carves out moments of calm in barre classes or indulges in rewatching episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. Her stories are infused with warmth, whimsy, and the subtle magic of everyday moments inspired by the people—and pets—she holds most dear.
